There does appear to be quite a merry go round at the mo with players moving left, right and centre and even a few signings from abroad (well Helston and Penwith) although it remains to be seen if they'll het a work permit to play here. The Eagles won't be dabbling at all though as we haven't had any players hand in a transfer request so don't see the need to to look elsewhere. Mind you, it's no wonder the Beast is out signing players as he's got £120 at stake...quite funny though as when he made the bet he was saying how good the current side was and they'd do him proud - i'm guessing he's had a re-think!

The reason for recruitment is we have a minor crisis, in that Gary Stephens had left us, meaning we had the bare 6 players and in March, Dan Oz Durant is moving to pastures new, so the need to recruit during the transfer window was of quite high priority, not because the Beast has bet money. And I quite rightly back him up, we're far from out of this title race!

Nope i don't believe i was suggesting that. I was well aware of the Gary Stephens situation when i posted that message so i know there's a need for recruiting. I was merely aiming a comment at my betting buddy with regards to our wager. There does appear to be a few touchy people about lately and we're only six games into the season. God only knows what some people will be like if it goes down to the wire. I look forward to someone losing the plot completely and having a Benitez-style rant before long. Oh yeah, while we're at it, just for the record, there's no reference by me saying that you're out of the title race, do you really think i'd be that daft? I learnt along time ago not to mouth off as you could look rather silly if you're wrong, for example, how stupid would i look if i said we're going to stuff the Sharks only to then find ourselves 8-0 behind???
