Sharks left deflated...

RBL Sharks entered the Bull Ring tonight with an unbeaten record in tact. As previously stated in a post a few days ago, the 0 has to go!

IT CERTAINLY DID!!!

Not only did one 0 go but two... Rob Charman was unbeaten in the aggregate table but tonight lost to Simon O'Mahony. Ex-Bulls player Mark Moyle also tasted defeat with a spirited performance from Gary Stephens. Another notable defeat, fell to the hands of yet another Ex-White Hart player, in Sharks skipper Paul Murphy (Mako Murvaish), who last to Alec Lane.

I took great pleasure in potting the black I strategically positioned over the corner bag, to sink the Sharks and hand them their 1st defeat.

All in all, a cracking night of pool. Was good to see the Sharks fully deflated after a 7-4 defeat.

Sharks left deflated at the Bull Ring!

Re: Sharks left deflated...

The 0 had to go and it went at the BULL RING

For the first time this season the bulls were ready to charge the opposition, and what a difference it made. After i sunk rob it was an unlucky in off for liam against nige to put us two clear unknown territory for the sharks and although mr cowper beat ashy ; a couple of good performances from alec (Av' Sum') lane AND gary (No Doubt) stephens put us 4-1 up going into the last singles. Dan (The Man) Durant broke off splitting the bunch but coming up dry from the break leaving the young talent that is shaun wills to do a great clearance (star man for the sharks tonight).4-2. Doubles was a different matter tho a good win for sharks in the first doubles against alec and myself and then again in the second bought the score back to 4-4 a piece. But a great performance by lewis and gary took us back to 1 in front. Myself alex and lewis went on first trebles against mako moyler and rob after getting down to the last couple of balls the bulls were in amongst the balls when we went in off leaving 2 shots to the mako. he tried taking the hard one first and missed leaving moyler a hard shot which he missed and going in off. lewis potted our second to last ball and cannoned the black right over the pocket and snookered me on the last ball. I did a little swerve hit our last ball leaving alec with a long shot which he just stroked in like a dream leaving lew with the easiest black for the win. cant remember the last

But What a night of pool both teams were quite vocal which was good to witness

Unlucky Sharks tonight was our night to show what we can do ! WELCOME TO THE BULL RING

So what does that mean? Did their table have seven pockets or something? Wouldn't say there's that much difference between the White Hart table and RBL's, both have nylon, just a different colour. Well done to the Bulls though, i may have to use some bits from your reports for next week's West Briton.

Re: Sharks left deflated...

so the '0' went at the ring and was well and truly broken by the bulls - well done guys. Just goes to show that no one team is unbeatable. Should be an interesting second half to the season with plenty to play for at the top.

Re: Sharks left deflated...

Well done to the white hart bulls last night for turning us sharks over at the bull ring.We could come out with excuses like we didnt turn up,you had the run of the table etc but every team has this over the season and it will even it self out and at the end of the day the bulls took thier chances and deserved the win.Now us sharks will have to show that even that we suffered the defeat last night theres no point in crying over spilt beer and to come out stronger next time around. We would rather have not lost last night but im glad the unbeaten record has gone as thats the monkey off our backs now! Once again well done boys and congratulations.
