Can't see all six of us Eagles getting through although i'd like to be proved wrong. More realistically i think there'll be four Eagles getting through to the Quarter-Finals although i'm not saying which four!.

Well not only have i been hit by the ugly stick, it would also appear that the lucky stick came my way as well tonight! I'll hold my hands up and say that i should've lost 3-1 but a missed black in the middle cost Mr Blenes dearly. He played well and was definitely the better player on the night, especially the last three frames but i'm not complaining. Exact same sequence for me as last week's first round against Mr Saundry - went 1-0 up then looked to be going 2-0 up but went 1-1 then 2-1 down, should've lost 3-1 but somehow managed to win 3-2. Elsewhere i hear that Mr Trivia went 2-0 up against Mr Moyle, only to lose 3-2...more surprising though is i heard a little rumour that Mr Trivia recorded an 8 ball clearance from the break, his first in the Jolly's League and you have to be an Eagle to understand how funny, not to mention rare it is! I'm waiting for it to be confirmed before i include it on the list though as i still find it hard to believe myself! The Quarter-Finals contains 3 Sharks, 3 Eagles and 2 Pythons BUT no Bulls, must be a first in the League's short history me thinks.
