Yep a battling game of pool that we never really looked like winning and just kept hanging in there by our fingernails for most of it. Not the best standard of pool but when the top 2 teams meet it normally isn't, it's just about getting over the finish line. Would love to make excuses as to why we lost but the only reason i can give is that we weren't the best team on the night, simple as that. Congratulations to the Sharks on their win and good to see people enjoying playing pool in the league as that's what the league was set up for. These things happen although it's a shame it happened against a team that seem to have about 50 registered members on this site who will remind us of the win regularly! (would've been much better to lost to Grenville or Lounge Bar who don't post on here!). Sets the league up nicely now and will be interesting to see if it's time we relinquished our title. One final point, the few people who decided to shout LOSERS at us as we left were factually spot on.

Nowt to apologise for as it's our own fault for losing He wouldn't have been able to do it if we won...well he could've done but it would've been slightly daft! No comments had any influence on the match so onwards and upwards. If you could pass a message on to him for me though and tell him that i've just found out that i won a tenner on the lottery tonight - who's the loser now!?!

Congratualtions Mr Clift im sure that tenner will be well spent!!! The comments that were made were out of order and i was embarrassed to be sat near him so i to do aplogise. A bit of banter is all well and good but there is a way of going around it and that certainly wasnt it!! On the good side tho although i didnt play tonight it was an amazing game to watch and i dont think ive got any nails left!! So thanks to both sides and i look forward to the return game!!

Mr clifft last night was one of the best pool matches i av ever been involved in as the atmosphere was great for both sides and the standard of pool was high aswell. i also hope for another great game when we come out to red jackets and if it is anything like yrsterday what a night it'll be!

I must say i've played in some cracking matchs over the years when the likes of chris longs illogan rbl side and rod burrows brittania side was in the old redruth & camborne league come down to the redruth rbl and last nights game is well up with them! It was a very vocal game(thanks to troy) and full of quality players wanting nothing else but to win! Mr clift showed his intetsions by puttig Mr ball up 1st. With rob beating gareth that put so much more energy into our side i think that was the telling factor on our account. All the games i thought were of good quality and Mr clift showing the fine art of being a grinder at the table!lol. ID like to thank the eagles for a great night of pool and i look forward to the return leg. Just one last thing the 1 member who was heckling has been spoken to and i do believe he has sent Mr clift an e-mail of an apology for the outbursts on the night! If the rest of the games are like last night then what an advert for this league. Well played eagles and well done for your fine sportsmanship.
