Boys, how do you fancy playing in the Penwith League this winter??? It's a Thurs night and our home venue is likely to be Turnpike, Hayle. I have 5 or 6 players at the mo and need 8 for a team, a few extra would help.

If you don't know whats involved, then it's new rules. 8 single frames and 4 doubles. We were promoted last year from Div 1 so will be playing in the Prem which is of a very good standard. There is also competitions which are played on a Sunday, which inc. Team K.O. 9a-side. 5a-side. 3a-side. Doubles & Singles K.O.

Last year we won the Team K.O. in which Mr Clift helped out (thank you sir)

Ideal. Cheers boys. I have asked if Murphs will play as he played once for us last year but I think work commitments hamper him.

I need to contact the landlord at Turnpike to arrange things as we played from Bucket of Blood last year. As I said it doesn't start till middle of Sept so it's a while away yet but wanna get a strong 8 players playing every week.

Will add more as and when I know. So far it's myself (cpt), Moyler, Simon O'Mahony, Chris Paton, you two & possibles are Dan Durant, Paul Gee, Gary Stephens, Graham Pilsbury, Richard Mitchell aka Tricky and hopefully Shaun.

Cheers guys. I was a bit worried the team would be weak going into the Prem but with a side like we have I think safely stay in the league, who knows what'll happen after that.

Murphs I will register you buddy BUT as you will know if I have a regular 8 then they will have to go 1st. You know that anyway.

I'm pleased you boys have joined us. We had a great season last year and you WILL definitely enjoy it. We will playing some quality sides... Bucket A, Star Prem, St. Just lot.

Yeah I'm pleased they've agreed to play. The 3 I've invited are good boys & tidy bloody pool players. I think with playing in the Wednesday league is great for them and now a Thursday league with quality in will help out even more.

It would be nice to do one over on Bucket AGAIN but will shall see. Don't forget our enemies still lie within the same pub if we play at Turnpike. Last year Turnpike had one side and finished R/U to us so they'll be in Prem too. I assume they'll be putting a side in. Will contact Turnpike soon.

Ah beauty cheers Broady. The K.O comps in Penwith league are very good. The 1st round for most comps will be played on 1 Thurs (they have a 1 week break for comps) then it moves to every Sunday night. Comps as I said before inc. Team K.O, 9a-side, 5a-side, 3a-side, Doubles & Singles. It's worthwhile signing on just to enter the comps.

I'm not exatly sure of my starting 8 yet but I'm aiming to have you 3 in it. I'm waiting to see what side I have available to me and will go from there. As there is likely to be more than 8 regulars, I'll probably just do if you lose 2 on the trot, you'll be replaced.

Not too sure and how to go with things yet in terms of doubles.

The Turnpike Inn, Connor Downs is our confirmed venue for the new Penwith season. If you guys could let me know what night you maybe free to pop down for a few practice nights and a bit of a get together with the team, then that would be good. That's too Troy, Shaun, Rob, Murphs & Broady if pos.

well i will spaek to shaun rob murphs and broady on wednesday and we will sort out sum nights we could go to the turnpike

Just an idea, that a Thursday night might be a good idea if you boys can make it. The table down there is going to be reclothed before the start of the season, so might be an idea to get used to it.

It also looks like we going to be the given A team status. As we finished above the other Turnpike team last year, they want the B team status.

Should be a good season. Let me know about Thursday availability for practice etc.
