I am sure you'll get a few players interested, are you after a single match or a team match? Also what's your name?

Re: Money Match

I'm pretty sure Garry Potter and few of us will be up for playing Mr Lawry for £100. Also i'm sure that there'd be a few interested spectators who'd be up for placing a bet at even money on top of the £100 pot. Could make a good night of pool all round..

Re: Money Match

So from various conversations, i'm aware of 4 definites to play Mr Lawry and a host of other probables as well. If you're serious about this then let's get it on otherwise what's the point of the post?

Re: Money Match

I see that the same money match request has been posted on the Penwith Pool website as well. Seems a bit like a scene from the film 'Color of Money' but substitute Paul Newman for Paul Noble and Mr Lawry is the new Tom Cruise, travelling around Cornwall playing for money! (baggsy i get to play the role originally played by Forrest Whittaker with his gammy eye...although Biggy should really play that role!).

So do we have a deal on the money matches or not then? If you come along with £500 then i'm sure i can get 5 players there each with £100, surely that's what you want?

Re: Money Match

Not even a case of bluff for the amount really. Already been stated that Will wants player/s to play for £50-£100. Now the lads have responded it's just a case of how few or many he wants to take on in one go? Nobody will be surprised if it's only a few, even only 2/3 maybe as potential losses soon mount up, but given the original post it's a very healthy response, so once Paul repsonds in the positive and gives an indication of how many people Will wants to play (at least in the first 'bout' of matches) then surely it should just be a case of sorting out a venue, date and the length of individual matches. Mr Noble...?

Re: Money Match

Have to disagree with you Gerbil, i believe his bluff has well and truly been called. I believe the reaction he wanted was to us to all bow down and say we wouldn't play as we're too chicken...however it appears that we're not the ones who are chicken.

--- willl8

Ah, got ya, we're the people who are sad as opposed to you who is in Surrey posting on a Camborne-Redruth message board for people to play a bloke from Penryn on behalf of your father!?! So the earlier posting saying you were Paul strikes me as slightly strange...but i'm sad so i would say that!

With regards to mobile numbers and arranging matches, perhaps you could give us all your email address so we don't have to give our mobile number out to everyone.

PS before anyone says it, yes i know i'm sad for posting on here at 3.40am!

Re: Money Match

I would play anyone(except bally) for 50-100 pounds as long as its at the trefusis, say first to 11??

preference players would have to be, murvaish, laner, any red jacket players(except bally as he seems to be on fire at the moment and clifty as we have being there and done that before which finished 8-7) infact any other player in the redruth league. Lewis and moyler are not included astheir friends and friends dont play each other. laner is a friend too but i love winding him up!

P.S actually laner u owe me £100!!! for the footy bet so u can back me!! will give u 30% of winnings.

Re: Money Match

In response to Will8, i've sent an email a couple of weeks ago and still waiting for response. With regards to you Mr Tonkin, it seems like you're up for playing anyone apart from most players in the league!?!
