I'm a Cartoon Character...

Picked up some new specs today (first new pair in roughly 6 years) and, thanks to the 'professionals' not informing me what style of frame would help keep the thickness of the lenses down, I now look like Mister Friggin Magoo!!! Not overly chuffed is an understatement, but I suppose at least I can now see the funny side clearly with my new glasses?! As a result, I'm looking a bit more of a pleb than usual (I know I know, it's difficult to believe) but also seeing twice as clearly as I've been used to for a few years. So no doubt I'll be getting a lot of ribbing this Wednesday, but will be interesting to see if the new Coke bottles have any effect on my play. In the spirit of fun (and because I'm bored), I may have a crack in a little while at categorising the rest of the Eagles as cartoon characters. Feel free to add any others you think of!

P.s - hope you like my very apt emoticon!

Right, now for the rest of the Eagles. Some, I don't know why they spring to mind, the others you may be able to figure out!

Adam Clift - Montgomery Burns

Gareth Ball - Roadrunner

Dave Metcalfe - Bobby (King of the Hill)

Jamie Turnbull - Homer Simpson

Tristan Prigg - Top Cat / Woody Woodpecker

Rob Goldsworthy - Cartman / Beavis

Rod Burrows - Yogi Bear

I'm loving the Biggy one as, now you mention it, he really does remind me of Bobby out of King of the Hill (great programme by the way!). So why do i remind you of Mr Burns? (and who's Smithers then???). Rod as Yogi Bear, hmmm, isn't there a song that makes reference to Yogi Bear? Bally strikes me more as a Bart Simpson or Dennis the Menace type character and Paul Gee as Homer me thinks. I think Dick Ash and Mr Lane would be ideally cast as Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble. Mr Smejkal would make a good Peter Griffin (Family Guy) or Pingu; Mr Mutter a dark-haired version of Tin-Tin and Mr Moyle as Fred from Scooby Doo. How's about Mr Turnbull as Bagpuss and Mr Jose as Captain Caveman? Mr Aleksy as Muttley or Gnasher. As for you Gerbil son, Pepe Le Pew comes to mind or Betty Boop.
