Race for the Title

Well, looking at tonight's fixtures for the three teams who most people believed, before the season started, would be in the chase for the title -

Scum A - home to RBL, should be an easyish match for them on paper and can't really see them having too many problems. Biggest danger may be the pub closing before play finishes if Paolo takes part in all 3. Prediction 12-3.

Eagles - never easy against the Tigers, they've got a couple of handy players and to be fair, their chances of gaining points against us have greatly increased now Sooty has left. (Eagles fan at heart eh Soots?? Good boy). Match may be made even trickier by none of us being used to playing on the new table. Nylon cloth and a very nice table, but will probably level the playing field a fair bit for visiting teams until we get used to it, and maybe even after, as it is a lovely potting table. Prediction 9-6

Tyacks A - could this be the game where White Hart B come unstuck and chuck in a right mare (I hope not), or can they continue with their good start of season form? Very difficult to call a scoreline, should be interesting. Prediction 11-4

Messeuir gerbille,

Clift Crippled

Turnbull Turned over

Prigg Pegged Back

Ball Bubble Burst

Goldsworthy Grumbling

Metcalfe Mesmerised

Are all what the opposition would love to see happen

But I can't see you lot slipping up again like last week can you?

And as for White Hart A having the best team in the league, as Steve Waugh knows, they're not even the best team in their pub never mind the league!!

On the seasonal subject of sledging, has anyone got any good put downs going round??

Try not to get too personal though!! :-)

Charming...although i'd probably play better! As for the sledging, i don't actually know any good put downs but i'm sure Mr Tonkin or Mr Murphy would be able to provide a few....actually Mr Murphy's comment on here a month or 2 ago about a bunch of hillbillies carrying out a sexual act has to go down as a classic, not really sledging but absolute quality!

Personally I like a few of Mr Baker's 'friendly comments' during matches, including but not exclusively...

Fu**in hell, I live closer than that.

He's covering cushions!

That was like a miss, but further away.

Plus various other classics which the opposition love!

Mr Lane sir, you are very highly strung lately, anything to do with Tottenham being a bit pants and the mighty Palace being a bit awesome??? Anyone son, chillout, there's no need to call me Mr Aleksy a clown, all he was doing was stating the obvious that White Hart A are the past and White Hart B are the future!
