Ah yes good point Mr O'Mahony, we do tend to let the pressure get to us and crack big time!?! As for your predictions, even Joe Tonkin doesn't spout that amount of rubbish. Not sure how you can put Tuckingmill bottom when they've strengthened their side this season by getting rid of their under-performing captain - any other captain would have got them into the top 3 a long time ago! Also, how can you put White Hart A top after they've lost Mr Tonkin (back at uni) and replaced him with some numpty who failed to take his last team into the top 3! (looks good wearing his nice silver trainers though!). Ah well, we'll only have to wait until the second game of the season to see which of our teams crack. I know Mr Lane is always up for a bet so if you read this son, small wager on the match?

Well, to be fair it took us a little while to recover from the whole 8 frames you took off us over the course of last season's league matches!

Of course White Hart's confidence is up again... The league hasn't started yet! More than happy to take a wager when we play (from anyone) but going on the basis of my previous fantasy football teams' performances, I think I'll decline a bet on the fantasy pool mate!!!

As for the time being right for another team to win the league, it is MY opinion that we will dominate once again! Saw the boys practicing on Wednesday and they look better than ever. But I agree it is a strong league, so anything could happen. So you are very correct to say that if another team does happen to win the league it may not be yourselves.

But for my money, Eagles to dominate for years to come!!!!! If you want to see an interesting battle, keep your eye on second spot ;-)

Bloody hell sooty, what are you on??? It was only a few weeks ago that you affectionately referred to White Hart A as the scum and now you're in love with your new team. If you're seriously telling me that having you in the side is going to strengthen the side that much then it looks like there's no point playing!?! Are you going to get 25+ more points than the players your replacing to enable you to win the league? Those silver shoes of yours have seriously gone to your head. Anyway me thinks you don't believe that yourself because if you did then you wouldn't say that me, Bally or Tris are the only ones capable of winning all the titles - how could we when we're going to finish third??? We might not dominate, after all we did lose a match last season BUT we won't be dominated (oo errr!) by a team that lost 5 matches out of 16! On behalf of the Red Jackets side though, i would like to thank you for getting us motivated and fired-up for when we play you guys as i know your words are going to spur on our side.

Last season White Hart had a better team with Paul Murphy and Mark Olds and they were 31 points behind with an improved summer side they were still 21 points behind. So with the addition of you I can’t see how it’s a massive improvement. White Hart are a good side but losing 5 matches in a season isn’t title challenging performance. We were both in the same position if a quality side asks you to play, you make the move.

Just learn and do the talking on the table and we’ll wait until the end of the season and see.

Why thankyou mr prigg for saying the w/h pool team was a better team with myself and oldser in it. I would have loved to lock horns with you red jacket boys again on the pool baize but i am afraid i wont be playing in this league this year.Red jackets have got to be odds on to retain thier crown but pool can be a funny game sometimes! The boys at w/h will be pumped up again this year and will be out to prove they can be a force to be reckoned with! Simon aint a bad player but as mr clift pointed out is he a better man than the ones he has replaced and can he make up the points difference!!! Only time will tell!

Gentle folk of the our pool league first things first, since we left the district league the rivalry's have some what collapsed. Now the white hart and red jackets rivalry was massive when i started playing pool many moons ago. And what happend we change leagues, and it alll died out. White Hart get beaten every game they play against the eagles and and I ask you (any white hart players) what is up with that ???

The reason i believe, is they expect to get beaten by the eagles. The only person i saw who was gutted last season when losing to the eagles was alex, and he wants just as badly as i do to beat the eagles. Mr prigg sir you were correct..... normally i keep my mouth shut and just play pool & i do believe that white hart had a better side last year with murphs and oldser and tricky. And speaking of murphs come back buddy re join the premier league mate better teams in the league etc etc ! ... I will never say that WHA side are better than the eagles because theyre not? the records prove that, but sometimes the underdogs win !!! and myb now is the time !!

The rivalry was indeed massive between ourselves and White Hart, none more so then that famous night in Twilight when all hell was breaking lose around me...oh happy memories! all credit to the eagles tonight they gave us a good match on which we can only improve. We had our chances and blew most of them but well done to paulo for winning on his debut. good match tho and played in good spirit other than a little outburst

thanks for the reminder mr clift sir,shocking season,something is stuck in a cog somewhere and until they find where it is the b side will be closing that gap,the b versus the a should be an interesting match on wedsnesday and im looking forward to watching the contrasts in the 2 atmospheres,come on white hart a,wheres the fight gone??????

Some of my predictions may have been a little optamistic. I thought that tyacks would lose a couple by now and they haven't. Fair play to them though they beat us fair and square, we didn't play well and they did. White hart a & b i think will finish 3rd and 4th unless the eagles trash tyacks when they play. and then it might be wide open.

Well my predictions aren't quite going to plan ah well. The Eagles are playing good pool again, i managed to catch the last couple of games against tyacks and the swagger and presence of confidence has returned. I can't deny that it is something missing from our side. The eagles have had some good wins recently they are odds on to get the double with the team knockout along with the other comps possibly. Will it be a clean sweep again? Well have to see !!

okay mr clift before you start yes my predictions were a little off. And yes i am aware since i joined white hart they've had the worse season on record. and yes i know i lost out on second spot in the aggregates (too you) , but i've still got pride in my performance this season.Yes third in the aggregates and in the league it could have been better but it was better than last year. As you very well know i was seriously considering walking away last season and i'm glad i stayed and change teams. If it wasn't for alex (thanks)i wouldnt be at white hart and thanks also go to the rest of the team for accepting me. We had a poor season yes but we won more games than we did last year, just not well enough. A few people in our side haven't had great season but im sure they will be up for it next season ! anyways good luck to all in the team knockout

Ah yes, thanks for bumping this topic up to the top again Sooty! So it appears your predictions were slightly wrong and the Red Jackets Eagles didn't 'crack' or get 'hammered' by White Hart A - who'd have thought it??? Ah well, better luck next time! In response to you stating how you personally performed better this season, i can't argue with the stats and finishing third in the Aggregate is certainly an achievement so well done on that. Good to hear you're enjoying your pool again as well but perhaps one thing you may have learnt this season is not to spout as much rubbish about winning the league etc as it just spurred our team on big-time - there's not a week that goes by without one of the team making reference to your predictions. Now if any of you would like to motivate us to win the Team KO as well then that would be most appreciated!

In response to you Mr Lane sir, of course you fancy White Hart to win the Team KO, that's because it hasn't started yet! I've not witnessed a start of a season or cup yet where White Hart haven't fancied themselves winning it! (not that a bit of confidence is a bad thing). Anyway, we all know that White Hart B will be the top side in White Hart soon!

White Hart A only losing 3 matches all season is no disgrace and in past season's you'd probably have finished top 2. Hats off to Tyacks A though as they are improving all the time and have achieved their first top 2 finish. If RJ Eagles, Tyacks A and White Hart all play to their ability then it could make for an interesting Team KO and Summer season.

One final comment, Sooty, what's happened to those lovely silver trainers of yours as i haven't spotted them recently?

Congratulations are indeed due to Tyacks. After a few seasons of WH dominating second spot they've shown they can compete with anyone and beat anyone on their day. Fairly decent side throughout with no players you could really call weak links. As Mr Clift says, will definitely be an interesting Team KO and Summer season, as Tyacks do seem to be improving all the time. From the bit of the match I saw last night, from when they snatched their first frame and second spot was guaranteed there were some spells of very good play, namely by Alan Hurley and Chris Wills. Also against us (first time around anyway) they played well and dug out some decent frames, so obviously not scared to take on and beat 'the big boys'.

Could a big close season signing make all the difference for them??? And will the core of the WH team remain the same??? Will RJ Eagles disintegrate, or react to Tyacks' improvement by pulling further away??? Who knows?!?!
