Football gone crazy?
Paragraph quoted below from the official BBC Sport website about Carlos Tevez possibly moving to Scumchester Utd, absolutely crazy if it's anywhere near that amount:

"What is going on is whether he goes on a permanent move, which would involve a very high fee. Certainly, Tevez's people would want in the region of what Zinedine Zidane went for when he moved to Real Madrid - about £40m."

?!?!??!?!?!?!

If Tevez does end up there, whatever they pay for him would be in addition to just under £50 million already spent on three new players in the last couple of weeks.

ARE MANKCHESTER UTD THE NEW CHELSEA?! If so, let's hope at least a couple of the new signings will be "Schevchenkos"...

As a utd fan myself i would've much prefered to see them try and steal torres from your lot. Although rumour has tevez may be joining on a 2 yr loan deal

Bit of a moot point Robster, as even for a 'loan' deal they're asking ridiculous money - the equivalent of full contract price for the length of the loan!
With regard to Torres, will be very interesting to see how he does and he's definitely better than the alternative, as there was talk of his current replacement at Athletico, no other than DIEGO "I can't hit a barn door" FORLAN being signed?! Now that would have hacked me right off, he's already proven he can't do jack s**t in English football with your scummy lot.

Yeah yeah. Osama Bin Laden's got a great strike rate in New York but I still wouldn't want him on the team.
