hey dave, i didnt do well at all on the first tour event, i lost 7-1. however i made the last 16 of the club open. its the event without the professionals, and got a £100. Both matches which i lost, i lost my head after the first two frames. i will learn tho. by the way It cost me £600 to play on the tour, so i will have to win a £100 at each tour to break even.grrr! IS THE OXFORD JOINING THIS LEAGUE SUMMER/NEXT WINTER?

Heheh, nicely put Alex, well he does support the Goons so its to be expected. Congrats on the 100 quid tho Joe. Just don't expect us to pay ya for losing next season coz yeh, I think we're in. I've put in a strong argument that we should be playing better sides. Winning is good for confidence but playing better players makes you raise the bar. Suzie needs to do that now. I'm just trying to roll the clock back a few years and I need to seriously practise coz now she's got bragging rights and I ain't having it! A bit of competition does nobody harm and i'm glad she's improving so quickly. Good for our results and at last I can stop letting her win.

SUMMER/NEXTWINTER .... ?

Was that two questions in one Joe, sorry I just said yes coz I think we're joining the league and i assume it'll be next season. Maybe a name change for the team next season. Clifty thinks Oxford Sharks is dodgy, so how about Oxford Hotpsur or just Oxford Spurs, would that spur you into winning a few mate?

Hell yeah, Oxford Sharks is a well dodgy name BUT Oxford Spurs??? What kind of person would name their pool team after the football team they support...that would be like me calling my team either Red Jackets Palace or even Red Jackets Eagles!?! You could always start supporting Oxford United and then your team will already be named after your footie side! Anyway just a general observation but there appears to be far too many Spurs fans on here (Little Dave, Alex and Jo McGuire to name and shame just 3 of them!).

You aren't clitticising me now on my team name choices are u Mr Clift? I was just trying to spur the young Mr Tonkin on as his footy team came unstuck against Chelski. Maybe I should make a team of spurs fans for the league instead then. Honestly who'd ever have the daft idea to name a pool team after a footy side?
