Viperettes
Before anyone gets the idea I want to join (Mr Tonkin that means you!) I thought I'd ask if Suzie, my wonderful, amazing County Pool playing girlfriend could join this season as she keeps bugging me.

I'd also like to congratulate everyone from the Camborne Redruth area who made the Cornwall squad. I never trialled but I'm sure I might have performed at least as well as a certain Mr Tonkin if I had. Maybe next year then.

Hopefully our side will come over to this league next season Mr Clift, thats after we're crowned champions of the old CRDPL. Not going into details but I'm a bit fed up with it all and winning is getting boring (cough). I suppose you red jackets lot could try losing a few next year eh to give us a chance.

re: Viperettes
The more the merrier Mr Moore sir so no worries. Also, i'd like to say it's good to have players from the CRDPL post on here as well. I've noticed that the Oxford Sharks (well dodgy name!) are doing well in the other league so congrats on that. As mentioned before, it would be good if we could get the winners of both leagues to play in a one-off match to unify the Camborne-Redruth titles although this would obviously have to be unofficial as i'm not sure it would get sanctioned. As for you joining next season and us letting you win, as you keep pointing out to me, you're the last team to beat us on a Wednesday two years ago so would we really need to let you win? (mind you, you did have a certain Mr Tonkin in your line-up back then...and we also had a couple of dodgy players in our line-up!)

re: Viperettes
Dodgy players, Mr Clift sir I wouldn't say you had the exclusive rights on the dodgey players. With our old team we'd not be in the position we are in now. We have a stronger team and although joe would strenghten us further (if he actually started winning) .We are a lot better than the old Trefusis side that had at least 3 players not up to division 1 standards. Suzie herself has come on in leaps and bounds since then and has not lost once this season although she did miss the first 3 or 4 matches due to us having to sort out our strongest line up.

I doubt we'd challenge for your league but the best sides should be playing each other and the league was obviously a much harder challenge last season as opposed to this one. Anyway I'm rambling but thanks, I'll let Suzie know and get her to give you some info to put up on the vipers site.

Cheers

re: Viperettes
Mr moore! well hello....

u know i would join ur team if u joined the premier pool league!(thats if u would have me) guaranteed trophies! especially as the trefusis of old were the last team to defeat the RJ's. do u remember that night? they spent the next hour n half arguing about how well we played :-) Form is temporary but class is pernament!

re: Viperettes
Mr Tonkin sir, the argument was because it was our first loss of the season and i got told that there's no way we'd ever go a whole season unbeaten...hmmmm! The player who said that (back in March 2005) only played 2 more matches for us but since then we've not lost a match so perhaps (???) i was right! Anyway i prefer to remember the time at Red Jackets when i cleared up from the break against you and you were somewhat reluctant to shake my hand because you didn't get a shot...oh happy days! (mind you, i know where my hands have been so probably best if you didn't shake them!)

re: Viperettes
Joe, I'd be more than happy to welcome you back but first I have to convince my team that Cllfty's league is the one for us. I'd like to say we'll definitely be there but I thought we'd be in his league now and I had to put up with another season so who knows.

I'm considering finding a new team myself if they want to stay again. I'm fed up with a lot of things and although recently voted onto the committee, there is still no way to make the league better. We had a meeting on Sunday and I was not even told that it was on, let alone the time and place. So, without stirring a sea of discontent or bringing up more sour grapes I'm gonna stop talking about the old league and just watch this season unfold before we join the league next year (fingers crossed).
