I enjoy the rivalry on the baize with you and your team but what happens on the table from now on stays on the table an then we can all get along as friends! Thanks and once again well done.

re: congratulations!
This league has proven to be very competitive with a lot of strange results along the way. The Eagles haven’t been that consistent with results against White Hart, Cricket Club, Trevenson & Waggoners all could of been different on the night. Other than a four week spell we have done the business since like a lot of other teams. Rivalry makes for a better game, but off the table it’s for kids (my car is better than yours.... etc) There are a lot of top players in this league and a lot of big ego’s, that’s life in a pool league – it’s all about respect.

re: congratulations!
Thanks for the congratulations but we haven't won the league yet...although i'd be slightly miffed (great word!) if Red Jackets didn't go on to win it now! (plus we want to do the double and win the team knockout!). Also Mr Prigg is right in what he said about some of our games, we could've quite easily been turned over on a few occasions, none more so than away to Trevenson but we rode our luck and i'll take it! With regards to rivalry, i'll be honest and say i love having rivalry with other teams, none more so than White Hart, because i know that the rivalry focuses every one of my team and in turn makes them play better. In the past the rivalry has spilled over but that does appear to be in the past as (touch wood) this season i can't recall any rivalry other than at the table. I think most of the RJ and WH players get on and Biggy and Alex are best mates away from the table...although at the table the Big-man beat him! (had to mention that!). It's a compliment to White Hart that we see them as our rivals because it means that we rate them highly as a team and respect them. Anyway, i must be honest and say i haven't got a clue who you are (murvaish) but you seem to talk sense so that rules you out being from my team!!!

re: congratulations!
Sorry clifty it was Paul Murphy who sent you the congratulations.Murvaish was a nickname i had playing snooker for the redruth RBL.I agree their should be rivalry on the table! Rivalry is good for the game.I also belive it should stay on the table.I am a very competitive player as you know and sometimes words have been exchanged between myself and a few members of your team.I want to say that what has happend is now water under the bridge and maybe we can now get along! As for the team knockout! Its in the bag for us!! lol.

re: congratulations!
There was me thinking that you talked a lot of sense UNTIL you go and say that White Hart are going to win the Team Knockout!?! Nah seriously, good to have you on the website Mr Murphy sir (even if you do play for the dark side!) and i'm aware of the differences you mention but, as you say, it's all water under the bridge and in the past. As for the nickname, i thought it might've been you but i've never heard the name before so i thought i'd better ask.
