Well Done To Robbie Roy and Garry Potter
Just got back and too tired to elaborate at the mo but Red Jackets Eagles' Robbie Roy and Garry Potter both made it through the County trials so congrats to both! Camborne Cricket Club's Corran Heard and Paulo both narrowly missed out at the last hurdle and Tuckingmill Tigers' Simon O'Mahony and Eagles' Tris Prigg both lost in the second to last round. Well done to all the lads, you represented the league with pride. Will talk more about it another time but way too tired!

re: Well Done To Robbie Roy and Garry Potter
no disrespect to simon, but me and corran and paul were amazed at how well he done, we all knew he was going to do well but to have a 3 - 0, 3 -1 and then a 3 - 0 and he was soo unluckly not to get into the team it looked like for a while that he was a sure bet for a place in the team, i would say im surprised at how well corran did, but he's been waiting 3 years for this so i knew he'd bring his A game,

It must be the quality of players in his team rubbing off on him (metaphorically!) on Thursday night pool!

re: Well Done To Robbie Roy and Garry Potter
Three points to make to you Mr Bowden sir:
1). it was indeed a while a go, back in 2005.
2). as you say, Red Jackets B ALMOST won which means we must've won!
3). if my memory serves me right, as well as not losing then, we haven't lost since then either.
I am aware that now i've said all this, we will probably proceed to lose to Red Jackets B on Wednesday!

well you never know anything is possible, although id prefer it if c3 ended your winning streak, esp if the horse got one of his famous fluke shots to win the match

re: Well Done To Robbie Roy and Garry Potter
just to pass on my congrats to Rob and Gareth too. It was a mighty battle in the end and I'm glad it was gareth and not the other guy. Corran did amazingly well all day and played an excellent "head game". I was really proud of him. Joe's game was way off form and he knows he could have done better so enough said. It was a good day but I wont be rushing there again to watch - too long a day and too numb a backside after sitting for so long! Simon was playing like a legend so he was really unlucky not to make it.

re: Well Done To Robbie Roy and Garry Potter
Well what a day................. well done to the ego's of the rj's team(no offence intended) mr potter played solid pool all day & robbie was getting better as time went on ( the more he woke up )& Unlucky to lose to Will lowry in his 6th match i was willing you on buddy along with most of the people in the place. myself i was confident walking into every match and i played well until i met Will Lowry who cained me 3-0 but i had my chances to win in all the games but missed them fair play. I lost my last match to a little bit loud but a nice bloke (sully) through lack of concentration,14 hours after i got there, i was nackered and i was out a little bit disappointed but had a good experience and i'll be back up there next year. a bit more preparation for the whole day need though
as for the rest of crp players .......................corran played a steady game not losing his temper or concentration i thought he was going all the way. Paulo was on fire at the beggining played well most of the day but missed an easy black in the first game he lost which cost him but he carried on got into the round robin unlucky not to get through. Jo bow had a shocker i think the presssure got to him. Gerbal didn't seem intrested either way and paul robinson was a little out of sorts.mr tonkin had a steady day and was unlucky not to qualify. Jo Mcguire is a star she was cheering us all on all day cheers m'dear and good luck to you for the ladies county trials.
