Week 9 Results
Well being completely unbiased (???) i must say i'm glad to say that Red Jackets are top of the table! We won 12-3 tonight away to Spice of Life WHICH is exactly the scoreline i predicted! The score could've been a lot worse after we went 1-0 and 2-1 down...yes, i lost my first singles!!! Fair play to the Spice side and playing as they did, they shouldn't be losing as much as they have been. They seemed like a good bunch of lads and lasses (obviously apart from the bloke who beat me...what did he have to go and do that for???) and the table was fine to play on as well as good grub (even if Biggy did decide to rub his sausage on my elbow!?!). Elsewhere White Hart 'A' were level at 5-5 with Trickies before the White Hart side rallied to win the remaining frames and run out 10-5 winners...only one frame away from my prediction again! Cricket Club had a big 12-3 win BUT team of the week must go to Sue Metcalfe's Illogan RBL who beat Trevenson SC 8-7 (i may not have predicted that!) including an 8 ball clearance from Dick May. Not aware of any other results yet.

WAGGONERS ARMS 8
TUCKINGMILL TIGERS 7

this isn't gonna be a full match report tonight due to the fact im a little pissed off
well we arrived at 7.45 and the away team arrived at 8.10 then took almost 15minutes to get the game under way. Our finishing time was 11.45pm

praises for c.wills, d jenkin and k barker (& jon smejkal but only for having an eight ball)

but as for j.smejkal and L jose and n.mutter jesus christ they need a kick up there ass due to slow play
N . MUTTER is a talented player but for god sake does he take his time
L . JOSE is brilliant potter but takes way too long to play his shots
and then theres
JOHN SMEGKAL ...............i mean no offence by anything i say on this but....... 4minutes 35seconds is what i timed you on deciding where to go first when you had 2 shots in doubles and when you played me in singles you where just as bad. i mean 4 minutes to take 1 shot is ridiculous. People reading this might think i'm a bad loser or something but in the end of the day they out played us in our final singles to win fair and square and ihave no problem with that. and as i said at the begining of this post well done john for the 8 ball but the game dragged on so long........ when it didn't need to

strange night for us,people losing that usually fly through and then moyler lost. The guy that beat lewis twice was by far their best player,a mr alexsky i think.Good courage and fightback by the lads tho and was proud of them for turning it around.24th of january is gona be the biggest night for quite some time.Clifty its a shame we didnt have a spare week where we could have rearranged some of the other games as i no alot of people playing in different games on that night would have loved to come and watched judgement night. And bally sir i wouldnt get too confident on the "easy money" jibe from joes riduculous betting,it was not that long ago i took my cricket club side down and correct me if im wrong but you threw your cue on a number of occasions, ripped your tip off,got a bollocking from your skipper oh and lost your singles and doubles!!!.over confidence sir doesnt always reap the rewards.i still love you tho.

Garry Potter did indeed lose the plot that night but i do believe his team still won! Yeah i've had a few people say to me that they'd like to watch the match but can't because they're playing. With the rearranged Christmas games now being the final fixture, if it is close between our two teams we could always postpone our match so it is the last game and then anyone wanting to watch the title-decider can come along. The match on the 24th should indeed be quite a battle though.
