Week 4 Results All In & League Table Updated
Thanks to everyone for getting the results in so promptly and before 11pm. This has enabled me to update the league table already so thanks again for that. As you'll notice, there's been some big results tonight, not least Waggoners achieving the first whitewash ever in the league, a 15-0 win over Spice of Life so well done to the rev John and his disciples. Also White Hart 'A' had a monster 14-1 win over Victoria Van Men and the Red Jackets Eagles won 13-2 after trailing 2-0! Tricky Dickies suffered their first defeat of the season, going down by the odd frame to Camborne Cricket Club. There were also 9-6 wins for Illogan RBL and Tuckingmill Tigers over Red Jackets 'B' and Trevenson SC respectively.

FIRST OFF CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WAGGONERS FOR WINNING 15-0 ALSO TO WHITE HART A FOR WINNING 14-1 AGAINST TOUGH OPPONENTS FROM VICTORIA (well done alex your team is blitz everyone at the moment)
OURSELVES WE HAD A GOOD NIGHT. AFTER A LONG FIRST GAME BETWEEN MYSELF AND MR HOSKINGS IN WHICH THERE WAS SOME DISCUSSION ABOUT A RE-RACK FROM THE HOME TEAMS PART WHICH I WASN'T HAVING ANY OF IT EVENTUALLY I WON. WE ALL PLAYED PRETTY WELL INCLUDING MY OLD MAN WHO MADE HIS FIRST APPEARANCE FOR US, BUT HE WAS UNLUCKY TO COME UP AGAINST ANDY KEARNEY WHO DISPATCHED HIM EASILY AFTER A BRIGHT START. THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT FOR US CAME FROM MYSELF WITH A 8 BALL CLEARANCE FROM THE BREAK AND FROM THERE PERSPECTIVE CRAIG WOOLEY CLEARING UP 7BALLS IN HIS SECOND SINGLES. GAME ENDED 9-6 A FAIR RESULT AND A GOOD NIGHT OUT.

Yes indeed. A big congratulations to Waggoners. I honestly thought it was gonna take some beating to go one better than our 14 but what a turn around.
Anyway, a bit late with the report but we were extremely happy with our performance. The rotation system we have seems to be working coz we all know we could be sat on the sidelines for weeks. For the second week running we shot into a 6-0 lead, with everyone contributing with some fine potting and position play. We took all 3 doubles to rack up a 9-0 lead, with myself and Moyler looking very dodgy in the doubles. Taking my uncertain form into the singles, managed to scrape through. Yet again good knowledge of the rules and potting play enabled us to reach 13 without reply but give Victoria credit, Christian Murray made an excellent clearance against Oldser to give them a valuable point and spare them some embarrassment. Moyler finished the night with a win, which sees us pull another step from Red Jackets.

Aye, a very good win for White Hart 'A' and no mistake but we wouldn't be Red Jackets unless we trailed you for most of the season! Unlike the recent Summer league, i think that one if not both of White Hart 'A' and Red Jackets Eagles will lose against at least one of the other sides in the league but only time will tell.

No I think your Red Jackets side will go unbeaten for the whole season. I'd be VERY surprised if you didn't. You've more consistancy that most sides and always seem to pull a win when needed. All the pressure is on you guys to perform, no-one else expects to win the league!!!

I've got a feeling that a certain White Hart 'A' side are quietly confident of winning the league and quite fancy beating us along the way as well so we'll see what happens. As i keep saying, we're due a loss sometime but i just hope it's later rather than sooner! (and not against White Hart!)

The only person who might be confident about it is Dickie! Us players are happy with our performances but aren't interested in who's beating who and putting pressure on ourselves. We'll leave the pressure to you guys, as you've got the unbeaten run to protect and the fact that everyone knows you're the more capable side of any of winning the league. I like piling the pressure up on you Adam.

The only pressure on our team comes from me and my team are used to that by now...apart from one team mate (who knows who he is and will be reading this but doesn't post!). Always good to have a bit of pressure on as it gives the game a bit of an edge.
