Wagonners 5 - 10 Red Jackets
A cracking start to the match saw Red Jackets storm to a deserved 5-0 lead, including a fine break and dish from Robbie Roy to open proceedings. Attempting the first session whitewash, yours truely almost had a half decent finish against Nick Mutter. With only a fine-ish cut on the black to leave Nick with seven I managed to go in off. D'oh!! From 5-1 we collectively made heavy weather of it. After a couple of long games and in truth some fairly uninspiring play (the highlight being a good Chris Wills win over Bally and a fine battling performance from Clifty) it was back to me on last to try and make the final score 11-4. Unfortunately I couldn't beat an egg, and again had some 'trouble' with a fine cut. A good finish from Leon made it 10-5, in truth a disappointing score especially considering the start we made to the match.
